and Search Engine Optimizing (SEO) – Does it really pay?

Ok – you have a great looking website.
It has either just been created or redesigned – hopefully
by someone who has your interests in mind rather than their receivables.
Now, other than yourself and perhaps your business associates
and clients (who you will notify after your new site has been
activated) who else knows about your site – new, redesigned
or otherwise?
PROMOTION
People don’t find your site by accident
- you need to promote your new site. So how do you do it? Well,
you could call new prospects and direct them to your site. You
could also have some sort of value added feature – a contest,
a give-away or something like that. But again, the general public
won’t get the your message unless you have a large emailing
list and hope someone replies? Or even a better question –
how will you attract new business prospects if they don’t
know who you are or even what your website address is?
You could write press releases and write
articles, but unless you are someone skilled in writing articles,
the message might not be understood. You could also advertise
in the newspapers but depending on the newspaper, the edition,
the day and placement within the paper it could cost anywhere
from $1000-$2000 for a 4x4” advert. You’d better hope
you sell a lot of widgets to recoup your cost.
But there is a better much more cost-effective
way. You could have your site optimised for the search engines
– specifically for Google.
SEO for GOOGLE – More Bang for the Buck
Optimizing for Google is a one-time effort
in Search Engine Optimizing (SEO) followed by minor monthly maintenance
to boost your rank and position with the worlds biggest search
engine. We have more information on our website about Google,
SEO here.
A client approached us last November for
suggestions on how to improve his website traffic. In other words
he wanted more business from his website. He sells homes, so they
would need to get a lot of traffic since the purchase price of
their product was extremely high. We tried AdWords from Google
(another topic to discuss one day), and although they a good amount
of traffic, the cost of AdWords at $7000 per year (90% of this
cost goes directly to the folks at Google) was too high for their
budget.
We suggested Organic SEO (Search Engine Optimizing)
with Google in May of this year and reduced their annual SEO cost
by nearly $6000. They still receive a really good volume of traffic
of over 630 visits and 5,512 page views with another 7 days to
go this month! Needles to say they are happily saving money and
more to the point – still receiving hundreds of qualified
referrals from Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL and best of all - selling
homes.
Google gets millions of visitors and search
requests each day. If someone is looking for your product or service,
wouldn’t you want your site to be listed and viewed by hundreds
and possibly thousands of potential clients each week?
Optimizing for Google can bring you more
website traffic. More website Traffic from people who are actively
looking for your product or service. These are qualified business
leads!
Do you want more people to know about your
product or service? The most cost-effective way to generate qualified
leads is from our Google SEO. Start today and get more traffic
and business before the end of summer.
